Changing the Transportation Paradigm

ZED Power Corporation is a privately owned American company which owns the ZED engine Intellectual Property. It is headquartered in Foster City, located in the San Francisco Bay Silicon Valley region of California. Scientific research and development is conducted with government support by ZED – Zero Emissions Design, Inc. in Vancouver, Canada. Vehicle engineering is conducted in Livonia, Michigan.

Global trade and commerce have been fueled by the supply of cheap petroleum fuel, powering inefficient internal combustion engines for the last century. Globally, of the $2 Trillion of petroleum burned annually, transportation consumes 60% of it. 25% of all petroleum ever found has been consumed in the last 10 years, with 95% of it consumed by internal combustion engines which are less than 20% efficient. A permanent global depletion of cheap petroleum is expected to start by 2015, causing a sharp rise in the price of petroleum fuel. Global warming and carbon based pollution concerns are also bringing the current transportation paradigm era to an end.

The new transportation paradigm requires an engine replacement with the same power, which can run on any available fuel, with fewer emissions.

Designed AFC (All Fuel Capable), ZED engines produce the same power as conventional engines with fewer emissions because an optimal stoichiometric ratio is maintained at all engine speeds and loads. Additional power is attained by bottom-cycle combustion heat scavenging using the patent protected Berk-Cycle design. ZED engines are designed for installation in current production vehicles without body or chassis modification.

Corporate affairs are represented by the Venture Capital law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in Menlo Park, California. Intellectual Property representation is by the law firm of Greenberg Traurig in Washington, D.C.

ZED is represented in the United States, Canada, Australia and England. The company is anticipating the production of ZED powered vehicles in the near future.
